A little help here

Will someone please explain the appeal of Tony Duquette's designs? High-end repro company Baker Furniture recently unveiled a 19-piece collection of the designer who counted the Duchess of Windsor as a client. Typical sky-high Baker prices apply here with the first chair retailing around $4400 and the Abalone Chandelier taking a $20,000 bite out of your wallet.

The "biomorphic console" looks like "gilded poo." And not in the metaphorical sense.

Agreed. I just don't get Duquette. It's a strange aesthetic and up close some of his stuff looks like the shittiest DIY I've ever seen.

Um I couldn't post before so I'm posting here. Andy Warhol and Tom Bosley on the Love Boat? Priceless.

Baker usually makes great furniture... sad that the quality isn't even good, because the design is definitely feels stale.

"Jewel Votive Table Lamp?" Can I buy it at Cost Plus or Pier One?
