That ranch is kinda doin' it for me

A little Presidential real estate porn for your viewing pleasure today.

Barack and Michelle Obama's stately Victorian-era home in the Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.

The Clintons' Chappaqua, New York farm purchased at the end of Bill's second term.

The Clintons' DC home. Much of Hillary's campaign fund-raising efforts took place here in the form of $1000-a-head cocktail parties.

Jimmy Carter's modest home in Plains, Georgia.

W.'s play ranch near Crawford, Texas. Purchased in 1999 to add some gravitas to the cowboy myth, the property is now up for sale. Cowboy costume no longer needed.

George Herbert Walker Bush's vacation home in Kennebunkport, Maine.

One of John McCain's 13 domiciles, a soulless condo near Cottonwood, Arizona.

Via a great slide show at Newsweek online.

UGH. Why does the W. ranch have to be the best one?

Raina - next time you come and visit I will drive you by Kennebunkport - great little town - marred by the bush complex! There is even a little pulloff so that people can gawk...ugh

I am voting for Jimmy Carter's and Obama's as best. Love this post!

I am in love with Maine. It's beautiful! If only I could be so lucky to live there.

I think the ranch looks like a church bunker built for the end of times.

I love me some Jimmy Carter!

1. Why do you need a condo in Arizona? Isnt land like $1 an acre?

2. I admire rich people who live modestly. Except that sham of a ranch in crawford texas. The man is from Conniticut! He was a cheerleader. At Yale!
