That's so much better

Oh, thank God! Highlights from the new issue of Elle Decor are up online and we can all forget about October's heinous "glamour" issue. Feast upon the loveliness:

Pretty. I like the floor at the bottom.

I don't know if I can get on board for knotty pine walls again, having grown up with them. (At least they're not shellacked).

Seriously -- there is a lot of wood there! And I love wood... I have wood floors, tons of wood furniture, wouldn't mind a wooden ceiling, but that is wood on top of wood.

Fire hazard?

I do like the general trending towards rustic, agri-chic. And that bathroom is hawt!

Those ceilings! OMG I love them! I need them! Knotty wood just makes a house homey, doesn't it?

farm chic--oh wait, shit, I can't say chic; make that Farm Idiom--AGAIN! happily, it's going to take a long time before I get sick of it...

Yes, can we please find a word to replace "chic"????? Avoiding cliched words makes labeling trends so very difficult.

I loved this whole story; that bathroom and kitchen in particular were a welcome shot in the arm after endless miles of white carrera, subway tile and bin pulls...
