Crib notes

Last night, The Pea moved to her big girl bed which lasted all of two hours. After 7 bedtime stories and many tears, I relented and wheeled her crib back into her room.

About 20 minutes ago, she toddled into her bedroom and climbed into the big bed without prompting. I just peeked in and she has surrounded herself with every last one of her books. Fingers crossed!

Because you're dying to know - the coverlet is "Square Route" in Pink/Orange from Garnet Hill and the sheets are Isaac Mizrahi from Target, no longer available.

Update: I just now heard crying and checked in. The Pea had thrown her blanket and two favorite stuffed animals into her crib and was attempting to climb into it. She was clinging to the side, poor thing. I scooped her up and tucked her in. We're 0-2.

I never realized what an AMAZING shade of Auburn Pea's hair is... gorgeous!

Aaaww, don't despair, it can take time. My number one was easy, number two, so,so, and number three at three years and 4 months is still in the crib. And damn if he isn't staying in it as long as possible, all comfy cozy, while I get a decent night's sleeping knowing he is not gallavanting all over the house like his older brothers! Plus, with THAT FACE, how could you deny the PEA her way, any time, any day!?

I tried to click "Swoon" six times but it wouldn't let me.

Pea does have amazing hair. M. waited in the bed frame of his bed for his big boy mattress to be delivered he was so excited and luckily transitioned fine. So she ended up sleeping in the crib last night? How old is Pea again, maybe wait a few weeks and try again. love the bedding!

Erin, your enthusiasm for my child is duly noted. ;)

Sherri, she'll be two on Jan. 1st. I wouldn't have even bothered for a while, but she is climbing out of her crib. She did crawl into her big bed yesterday evening after dinner and said "Sleep!" But the follow through was another story.

We'll just keep working on it.

Yikes. I think W. will be the climbing out type too. Good luck with the transition, and have a great weekend.

SWEET Pea! She does not look too unhappy testing the waters.

She'll be fine. One day you'll put her in her crib and you'll check on her and find her in her bed. :-)

I also love that her binky matches her coverlet. :-)
