Budget cuts to strike Domino?

Rumors are flying of a "January surprise" that will see cuts at the "struggling" Domino magazine and its website. CondéNet Web which hosts Domino and other Condé Nast titles accounts for only 3 percent of the company's revenue.

Perhaps Domino should cut the superfluous bloggers, dump the beyond dumb "My Deco File," and make their website "gallery" only. People just visit to crib the pretty pictures any way.

Yup. I saw it coming and got a subscription anyway.

Well, ceVec, the good news is since magazines work three months out you're guaranteed copies through the spring.

And welcome to this deliciousness!

They can dump all their bloggers but Nick Olsen... he's such a cutie.

The article was about Conde Nast as a company, not about Domino.

There was only one single mention of Domino.

The sole refererence to Domino was that the magazine may get a "hard look" by the Conde Nast owner. No "rumors flying" of Domino personnel "cuts."

The Conde-Nast website shows that the Domino Web editor who is leaving IS in fact being replaced.

Finally, all print magazines are "struggling," even Conde Nast's traditionally profitable ones, like Vogue.

Huh. I didn't know Domino employees read this blog.
