Just to rub it in

I just took this picture off the back deck. It's 84 degrees with 23% humidity. The Pea and I spent the afternoon at the beach, swimming in shallow tidal pools warmed to the temperature of bath water by the sun. Tonight, we're going to have cheeseburgers, homemade fries, and an apricot and apple crumble.

For those of you new to the blog, here are a couple of older shots of the hill we live on and the beach below it.

Several flights leave daily from LA and San Francisco, should any of you want to pop in this weekend.

Just so you know, I'm furious with you right now. It's 37 degrees where I am and not much warmer INSIDE the house as my parents refuse to turn the heat on. Thanks for the pics though...something nice to see.

Well, it was 70 and sunny in Austin today, so all is not totally crappy here. Now if I could just move the ocean and some cliffs into my backyard... Oh, you, the Pea, and Larry Bear can come, too.

The weather was actually decent here yesterday, but that view you have is incomparable. Make up an extra bed and I'll be glad to take any extra crumble off your hands.

I love homemade fries. And it is gorge!

Compared with Chicago though, Delaware's not so bad. However, my husband doesn't agree since he grew up south of here, so if you find some strange guy smoking cigars and drinking scotch on your deck tomorrow, remember, you asked for it.

The 'Ditch' competitive-ness is coming out in me and I'm having trouble suppressing it!
You see I am wanting to comment on the dirt like sand there - as ours on THIS side of the ditch is all golden and gorgeous...BUT I just cant allow myself to be one of 'those' people. So now you know my internal struggle, I will just ever so politely comment thats just lovely!!!!
