7:35am on Clifton Hill

I know many of you have experienced one of the worst winters on record in the States, and I want to deliver you to a South Pacific island if only for a few moments.

Panning left to right across our back deck, looking out to the estuary, Pacific Ocean, and Southern Alps. The temperature is a lovely 59 degrees with an expected high of a sunny 86. I wish we had Smell-O-Vision so you could enjoy the Indian jasmine and dozens and dozens of heirloom roses melting into the salt air.

You lucky, lucky girl! I bet you're going to miss it. I am literally basking in the glory of your warmth, it's damn cold here today. In fact, the weather people are predicting a possible blizzard early next week, I kid you not!

Sigh - that takes me back a bit. I do miss the beautiful blue of the ocean. And yeah - winter is horrible. Last storm was only about 6 more inches...and next Tuesday I am planning to simply stay in bed...lol
Thanks for sharing!!!!

wv = surgyrop - is that telling to get some sugar?

Hey Debi's back, everyone!

There's a kite festival at New Brighton tomorrow we're thinking of taking the Pea to. She goes bananas every time she spots kite surfers in the estuary along Ferry Road.

Torturous wench.

I had to use my car today & that involved scraping a quarter inch of ice off. It was like a glazed donut, but with none of the donut goodness.

Oh,your'e a lucky girl! That is certainly a million dollar view in a far away exotic place too. Show me more! BTW, it wasn't so bad in my little corner of the world - Cape Fear, North Carolina -- high 60s, sunny tennis weather! Gotta love it!

Oh, I miss those smells. Austin is warm, but in the summer it's too hot to smell fragrant, per se. It just smells dusty.
