Gap + Pantone = not so colorful

Plebeian clothier Gap's recent collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute, supplier of color standards to design industries, to create a pop-up shop has met with a collective "enh" from consumers.

Located next door to Gap's New York City flagship store on 5th Avenue and open through February 8th, the temporary store features no unique limited edition products (Uniqlo has done Pantone tees). It does have a spiffy wall highlighting "Mimosa," Pantone's color pick of the year, a hue meant to embody 2009 and described as "optimistic," "hopeful," and "reassuring."

Are we living in the same 2009?

Really, who looks in that kind of yellow?

Michelle Obama. She wore that shade on Jay Leno and looked amazing. Further proof that she is not of this earth.

Michelle, and I think people with very dark skin (but then, those people look beautiful in every color). But other than that, no one.

too true!
Im planning out my week ahead & trying to decide if I need sleep before or after the historic moment about to occur. Its broadcast here in Aus starting from 11pm until 5am . Needless to say - no client meetings the next day!
