Two extremes does not a happy medium make. And what the heck is the thing on the floor? Giant toasted marshmallow toilet?

LOVE. IT.

sorry, Gracie, hate. it. That stool looks like a mushroom and I hate mushrooms. Also I think I have decided I am not a fan of this type of sink. Raina, oh lady of design, what are these sinks called? I don't mind a clean line sink but the sharp squared off ones bug me most. I think I want my "vessel" to be part of my counter, perhaps I am old school about that. Hate the mirror. The flowers are pretty!

I'm with you on the toasted marshmallow. Just plain weird.

Essee, This is a hybrid of a vessel and a farmhouse sink.

It screams "trying to hard" with the attempting-to-be-clever juxtaposition of rococo and minimal..and...mushroom. Happy New Year!

Just say no. I think Leigh is right - trying too hard. And, while contrast is a difficult thing to accomplish, too much contrast is as bad as too little.

As for the "mushroom", I thought of brie cheese that has gone bad. And I think I'm over vessel sinks. I quite liked them at first, but it may have been their appearance in Home Depot when I decided they were too trendy for me.

I'm in the minority again, I like the sink and mirror and thing on the floor. I'm not crazy about the flooring itself, but I'm ok with everything else.

I suspect i would like these pieces individually - but together: My bells ain't a ringing.

Needs more texture/tonal variation for that sink to work with that mirror. Too much contrast, and I love me some contrast.

I don't know what that turd blossom is on the floor, so I'm just going to ignore it.

It's just okay in my opinion, don't love it, don't hate it.

Yeah, I'm not liking it. Maybe if the mirror were a different color? Maybe if it weren't so opulent?

I can't get worked up one way or the other. That sink looks like it's going to fall off the wall though.

By the by, how late am I in congratulating you on your BEST Design Blog nomination on Apartment Therapy?! I had no idea or I would've totally signed up in the first place.

HG, I had no idea I was nominated. Thanks to the ever lovely Erin at Design Crisis for the nod.

word ver: splog. My thoughts exactly!

I would have used a much BIGGER mirror and get rid off that thing on the floor.

I actually have that exact same mirror. Thankfully I do not have that stupid stool or overly designed tub. Or flowers that are disproportionately scaled
