those last two just blew my mind.

Last one looks similar to a LePeyre Stair, patented by a friend's grandfather...pretty amazing. What a wonderful post, Raina!

#2 has been on my lust list for a while now. If I had stairs, they would get the disco treatment for sure.

#4 is AMAZING.

The castle where i worked had stairs like the bottom image, and it was built in 1200. It's very hard to walk up these stairs if you don't "start" on the left foot!

the colorful stairs, I did a post on my blog. they are really cool. the last pic the one on the right. eek, i think you have to be extra super sober and use climbing hooks to walk up those babies.

Oh my giddy aunt, I love them all.
Although I possibly wouldnt want the stripey ones after a gin-fuelled evening.

You could keep someone OCD from going upstairs if they were the sort to always start with the right foot! (I kind of have a usual first-foot-off-or-up-the-curb foot. Not sure what it is right now, I'd have to reach a curb to know...

Wow - those wooden steps are absolutely gorgeous - and interesting.

i love the mirrored tile in pic #2, but i don't know if i love it with THOSE stairs. Pic #3 is my dream date. Pick number #4, yes, stunning, but a bit to gimmicky for me.

yes, that actually came from a girl who would fill her house top to bottom with miniature gold horses

PD, I absolutely love that #4's antecedent is 800 years old.

holy shit, i love these! however, i'd be so mesmerized by them i'd do a major tumble and face plant on the way down.

I love the top bookshelf staircase! My shelves are overflowing and that's a great use of space.

#4 is beautiful but just looks dangerous to me... I wish it were a much wider stair, and that it had a railing!

the bookcase made me scream in excitement!
the last 2 pictures are terrifying though... I have terrible balance (I'm assuming those are stairs?)

I totally sympathize, Ausrine. I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.

Number 3 is for me!

BTW, I have been saving #2 for my disco post....

You think I'm joking.
