Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's decor

My design mentor and GBF owns the most stunning Parsons console table covered in python skin. He made it during his days at FIT in the 1960s. It is the only treasure from his Aladdin's Cave of a home I've requested be left to me when he heads to the Great Studio in the sky.

Does a friend or neighbor own a piece of exceptional design that you covet?

The 18-by-60-by-29 1/2-inch-high python-covered console table by Edelman Leather, $10,000.

I am having a fit of procrastination! I'm supposed to be writing a giant post about supergraphics, our favorite topic, right? But here I am, lusting after that gorgeous table. Maybe I could make a ghetto version out of an Ikea table and some vinyl? No, that would be wrong.

Oh well. I also lust after Karly's panther table, and my buddy has a bamboo console table that would fit perfectly into my narrow wallpapered hallway... painted gold, natch.

Barbara Westbrook* was a client of mine. She's an incredible interior designer and her offices are just divine. She masterfully blends french antiques with 20th century modern classics; art with found objects/junk; rough hemp with panne velvet. Anyway, she has a set of 6 french armchairs around a parsons style conference. The table and chairs are white, but the chairs are upholstered in emerald green leather. When I used to meet with her there, she practically had to pry me out of her offices.

I'm with Debi, my fear of snakes is so great that this table would make me weep for all the wrong reasons.
Funnily enough snakeskin shoes and bags I'm fine with.

Wow!!!!! You may want to start slipping some arsenic into his appletini, that table is fab.

The list of items i covet from Erin's house is far too long for this comment section, but at the top of my list are:

1. everything from her kitchen remodel
2. her chesterfield sofa
3. her marble console... dreamy!

Jennifer perkins also has a rad tiger vinyl screenprint that calls my name every time I visit
