Another dirty shelter magazine secret

Cover of the new Elle Decoration South Africa.

Excerpt from a feature in the Jan/Feb issue of
Inside Out, an Australian shelter mag.

To better manage scouting and photography budgets, magazines have long purchased published features from other publications of a similar nature and demographic. International sister titles frequently swap stories as well. With the current economy, I wonder how soon we'll be seeing the same dozen or so articles recycled over and over.

Oooh it's like spot the difference!
One of the strange round objects, the tall thing by the door and some light switches have magically vanished on the ELLE Deco cover!

I recently bought an issue of Living Etc that used the same photoshoot from another shelter mag that had run nearly a year before. I was so pissed! For $7.99 + tax, I expect fresh information.

How funny, I've been trying to figure out how to save that very living room shot from the digital version of Inside Out, but I gave up! I love that room, but I'm with Erin, fresh information...no cheating.

Thanks for the juicy inside information!

So, the literary practice formerly known as "plagiarism" and "copyright infringement" has been monetized in the hopes that dumb readers never figure it out? Bah! I'm with Erin, it's not news if it ain't new.

Ooh, W/V = "sublim", isn't that sublime?

That sucks -- but then, maybe they don't really bank on people being so obsessive about interiors they'll buy foreign publications? >_<
