Hallelujah!

Cue Leonard Cohen:

Everything is perfect and clean! It's a jumbled mess drying in the sun and breeze, but it's all back to normal and everything is right in the world.

A reminder of yesterday's stroke-inducing epic battle of The Pea vs. Mama's Lipstick.

The best part? The woman was here for just under an hour and only charged me $55. I may have to take back some things I've said about Kiwis. Maybe.

I can't believe The Pea! Of course I guess she can't be all spontaneous dancing and adorable photographs. Glad it all came out so she could come out of her room =)

Oh shit! Thanks for reminding me, David. She's probably hungry.

Heh heh. So pleased it was so quick and reasonable. I'm impressed anyone can be so calm about a mini-catastrophe!

My husband freaked out enough for the both of us.

I love the single, perfect little handprint.

Wow, I'm impressed--maybe I can fly her over here to get all the stains off of my couch?

Hallelujah might just be my favorite song ever--definitely top 3.

I love Leonard Cohen. Stains not so much, but it was sort of an artistic stain don't you think?

It is, Sherri. The cleaner asked if I wanted to keep that one as a souvenir. I declined.

So would it have been a different story if a different colour?!

Raina said...

Yes, red typically doesn't come out fully.

I didn't mention that when the cleaner walked in her jaw dropped. She said,"You must be joking."

Scared the crap out of me. But she ended up doing a helluva job.

The Pea has real flair. I like that in a girl!

So glad it came out. So who did you call? I had this image of you phoning those biohazard crews that clean up dead bodies and such.

I'm embarrassed to say I picked them out of the phone book. They were one of the few that had a website, and they are recommended by the big fancy interiors store here in the city. I figured those snootykins are pretty picky and would only endorse the best.

Good thing you have the pictures of the single hand print - it is rather cute (ok - maybe it will be in a few years). Glad to hear it came out!

The hand print is priceless!

Yay, sigh of relief! Your couch, pre-stain removal, is what my walls look like on a regular basis...the joys of parenthood!

"The Pea, Adventures Down Under"...you should write a book!

I think the Pea was just channeling her mini Matisse. Gotta love her spirit of creativity!

reminds me of the women who was going to go to jail for kissing a cy twombly painting- c'est la vie- maybe she was inspired by the furniture?

Raina said...

Oh, I totally remember that, Hmstrjam! It was bright red and the museum wasn't sure if it would come off. I wonder what happened with that...
