Indian summer in KiwiLand

We're enjoying one last gasp of summer this weekend with loads of sunshine and temps in the 70s. We had a late lunch at our local beach cafe, tucked between the ocean and the terrific Scarborough Park.

I'm convinced that Kiwis are part billy goat given their proclivity to build homes on the edges of hills, mountains, or in this case the side of an extinct volcano.

Next to the cafe and steps from the beach is a paddling pool. The Pea insisted on taking a dip, and luckily Mama had a swimming diaper stashed in her bag.

C'mon in - the water's fine!

aauuughhh Pea cuteness attack! She is stealthy like a fox. It's all blah blah pretty rooms real estate blah blah craftulence and then ZING! insanely cute child.

Why thank you, NerFy. I can only take credit for 50% of her cuteness though.
