Do you remember these?

The hook and loop potholders of summer camp have morphed into Patricia Urquiola's sizzling hot Tropicalia outdoor collection for Italian manufacturer Moroso. The prices are hedge fund honcho pre-2008 crazy high (the daybed below retails for $20,000), so we shall be coveting and not buying. But if these do happen to be in your budget, you can afford to fly your new interior designer in from New Zealand.

Don't laugh, but you've totally inspired me to buy those potholder maker loomy things for my classroom. My students will love it - very calming and centering.

Thanks!

I used to love weaving those potholders, I was just really bad at finishing them off so they could actually be used as potholders and I made my mother do it (I think she enjoyed it though).

Love the daybed, I see copycats in its future.

If ONLY I could fly my interior designer in from New Zealand! I need a serious window dressing consultation that I'm sure can only be provided by a certain decorator down under.

We will shop for Tropicalia daybeds after crisis #1 is averted.

Maybe I could hook my Fisher Price loom up and weave that daybed for my patio? Gorge.
