White people problems - germaphobe edition

Did you ever take your keys out of your pocket and wonder what strange microscopic worlds might live on them? Yeah, me neither. But an entire Apartment Therapy post has been written on the topic of cleaning your keys, including photos of the process.

Of the 35 comments (so far), only one has taken issue with the WPP-ness of the post: "Sorry, but, man.....you ain't got enough troubles in your life." My hero.

Thank you, Raina. Thank you. You are speaking truth. I'm sick of Purrell and wipes and "happy birthday handwashing" fanatics. I say spread and few germs and toughen up!

I dont think I've ever thought about cleaning my keys.
EVER.

The only time I think about cleaning them is when I have been chewing on them...otherwise...

That is just too funny.

just hand the keys off to a baby. They will suck off any grunge that's accumulated and be dazzled and enrapture by their sheer jinglysparklticklenoisy-ness.

Done and Done.

Townhouse Lady makes a great point. Good thing I am about to pop out a little germ cleaner of my very own, because I could never abide dirty keys! Never, I say!

Okay, now I can comment. I had to de-germify my keyboard first cause you know, I touch it and all. ;0)

Jeez, move into a house with three boys under age 10 and "dirty" keys will be the least of your worries.

I am holding to my firm belief that exposure to germs is actually good for us because it makes our immune systems stronger. So it's really ok that my kitchen floor is a bit filthy right now. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
