Problem solved

Desire to Inspire.

LB and I are hopeless at sharing a bed. I'm a light sleeper and he flops around like a beached dolphin in his sleep. I saw this photo today and a light bulb went off. I don't know why I never thought to shove two double beds together.

When I was married we had a queen bed and the husband was a bed hog and a cover hog. Whenever we went to the in-laws for a visit he insisted we push the two twin beds in the guest room together like it was one bed (which was kinda sweet). But sleeping in two twin beds - the best sleep I ever got with him. My own covers! And no way he could possibly encroach on my mattress space! Genius!

We'd certainly benefit from each having our own covers. Now if I could figure out how to get one of the dogs to sleep between our feet instead of our heads...

Great idea. Memory foam mattress helps too - you don't notice any movement at all.

How funny...the man and I are the same way. After 14 years of sleeping in the same bed, I'm shocked every morning to see the state of affairs on his side as compared to mine. It looks like I sleep with a madman, pillows on the floor, covers all balled up- a mess! While on my side, well, you'd hardly know anyone slept there at all!

But let's talk about that gorgeous leaning mirror...now that's something that would give me sweet dreams...

I don't think two twin beds would solve our biggest problem, which is -- so I've been told -- that I snore like a chainsaw. Hopefully when this 20 lbs baby gets off my lungs things will improve. Hopefully.

when we were in switzerland last year we had one bed but two duvets. it was like we were sleeping in separate beds, but still together!
maybe that could temporarily solve the problem -- worth a try anyway!

B/F and I have been sleeping with seperate covers pretty much forever because we're both huge blanket hogs. His is a fleece blanket I made and mine is the comforter, so when we make the bed (which btw pretty much never happens) I just put his under mine and we appear like normal people who only sleep with one blanket!

My parents did that and it worked well for them.
