yeah sure, why not? they're super comfy and you can roll yourself to 2nds!

ps. had a lovely dream about you last night. you were on the deck of a house boat (??) wearing white socks, pjs, and black patent slingbacks taking photos with a fancy camera! weird, huh?

Ew. Look really sloppy, and all the wheels would start to tangle. I'd go for Eames shell chairs for comfort over traditional straight-back dining chairs if that's the concern.

No way - too much rolling - it would keep people from bringing their children over though...something to think about!!!

I say yes. The chairs are the only thing in that particular dining room that I like.

It's a no for me. I'm not crazy about those in general and particularly not in a dining room.

no like.

No for me, too. Sloppy, not modern.

Why not if they're free? Looks like those in your pic were free. And they're using a board on top of a cheap folding table.

Perhaps the board & folding table were free too?

It's obvious I'm always finding free stuff. Call me, Junk Whisperer!

I'm with David, the rest of that room is gross so who cares what kind of chairs they use.

In the real world, I'd probably say no, though

Jools said...

Nay! I have to sit in one of those badboys all day.

I like it. I like rolling and spinning.

Rest is a bit dull, though.

ew no. it looks like a conference room.

Definitely no. I never understood why when there are so many freaking gorgeous chairs out there. I've always liked this chair but strictly for an office.

no - looks like a board room...not a dining room

So comfy though. I'd rather be at a dinner sitting in those comfy numbers for hours on end than an ass sore bentwood beauty or such!
and the rolling would be lots of fun!

Waxy, Tara Dillard and Jools - Hello and welcome to this deliciousness!

Gracie (Wool and Misc) - That is a bizarro dream, girlfriend.

They'd be great for rolling the dirty dishes into the kitchen. And what is up with the cheapo folding table?

Raina said...

Dunno, Robin. It does seems like a wacky room and furniture set-up to have professionally photographed.

nope... but what the hell do I know...

YES! That's what we've done in my parents' house for 10 years now. It's so helpful being able to roll around.

PASS!

Absolutely!!! And is that a concrete floor they are resting on? Love this! But my tastes do run toward the contemporary side ...

susieq said...

I think it works with a concrete floor and open space. But the more important question is... what in the hell is going on with the table? And the dinky side table?

This whole room is just a disaster. I hate office furniture in a home and Eames aluminum group office chairs in a dining room? I don't think so. I'm appalled at the table, too. Really really bad.

No! My kids would drive me crazy, rolling all over the house!
