In the right setting (of which I believe there could be multiple)YES. I kind of want them for my faux fireplace that currently houses too many candelabras.
i agree with jill. they're not in the right fire place. i'm thinking they could look good in a modern, california house, in a room where the fireplace is never used.
I don't usually comment when I am 4 days behind on my blog reading, since usually all the things to be said have been said by others, and better than I could have, but I have to say my fingers involuntarily clicked through Google Reader because they were dying to type "Superman Fortress of Solitude". It was like they were possessed. So glad to see great minds think alike.
They're a bit unexpected -but I LOVE them -especially in a closed off fireplace so many apartments have that are obviously fake. Maybe mirror the interior (as i've seen done) and use these logs there? They're sort of fun and glam!
A recent transplant to Colorado, I live, eat, and breathe interior design. This includes but is not limited to mentally rearranging friends' living rooms, surreptitiously tinkering with displays in stores, and spending a king's ransom on shelter magazines.

Love.
looks like something that Superman would have found at the fortress of solitude, then stacked up in his fireplace.

Does. not. compute.
I always have a fire going. Well, except for July and August, unless it's unseasonably cool.
big. fat. no.
Supermanish, but for me not in a hot good leotard kind of way.
I'd much prefer solid gold bars.
Kind of cool in a weird way. I think they need to be in a very contemporary home...this fireplace doesn't do it for me.

I got cold when I looked at this picture. I'm not kidding. It was weird and creepy.
I like. I don't know that I'd even put them in a fireplace. I think they'd be great just stacked up campfire style on a dark concrete floor.
Ridiculous. But you know I would probably put them in my house if i found them on craigslist. Do they come in hot pink?
Oddly, I kind of like them. I wouldn't do myself, and I like the idea of having them stacked on a dark floor.
stooooooooooooooooopid

I never thought that logs would make me angry!!!! GGggrrrrr.....
My thoughts? I think I like them. And the "right setting," well, that would be my house.
