The Halloween snow

So we're going to be trick-or-treating via snowmobile. This is our backyard this morning, looking onto the neighbor's back patio. Which you cannot see because it's buried under about 18 inches of snow.

I've been told that a small snow in October is not unusual for Denver, but this week's storm was a complete surprise.

This is not an icicle from our roof. LB's just happy to see me.

oh man, anything on snowmobile would be awesome. You guys should seriously think about getting one. I'm so excited for the Pee getting to grow up with so many awesome winter activities.

LB has on the same expression my dear husband wears anytime I bring up blog-related matters. Although my guy would sooo love your sense of humor!

Damn girl, that's a whole lotta snow!

I hope you're taking advantage of the weather to get cozy and enjoy the, ah, icicles.

I've only been sledding in deep snow one time. It was at my sister’s in Palmer Lake, just south of you. It was a scream! I've never laughed so hard. Hope you have a sled!

Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, I can tell you that Halloween snow is common. Imagine the tough time I had figuring out how snow boots and a parka work into a princess or fairy or mime costume. It seems we will have a melting day tomorrow and the kiddos will be slopping through mud and puddles instead of snow drifts.

Bahaha! Love the icicle pic!
Oh, snow...a blessing and a curse. I am afraid we're gonna get hammered with the white schtuff this season. Good times.

I can remember living in Santa Fe, NM. We had our first snowfall of the year on the day my son was born -- October 28. Enjoy!

Wowee---that's quite an "icicle"! And once you take into account the shrinkage that's surely occurred due to the cold, it must be of tremendous proportions indeed!

All that snow means The Pea can collect her Halloween candy in a sled. And everyone knows sleds hold more candy than pillowcases...

Incredible. It is raining here, we will be trick or treating with umbrellas, a snowmobile sounds more fun. And I second Erin, cute hubby ya got there.

p.s. don't forget to post Pea pics, perhaps she could go as a snow bunny? Happy Halloween!
