Hideous.
As the boys over at Project Rungay recently put it, "Stop trying to reinvent the shoe!"

The outside two look like home decor and the middle one looks like a sex toy.

What I would really like is a cross-section of one of the sparkly hoof-shoes just to see where the actual foot goes. Inquiring minds want to know.

Also, my word verification? rehab. Did you pick these out or something?

and swear to god...fishing is my verification word!

I cant stop staring! They are so bizarre that I kinda like them more than I should -but as an art form!
I kinda think Alexander McQueen is a sado masochist!

i have the third pair and even wear them to the gym! bahaha!
love mcqueen, but these are shit. to ask a human to walk even a step in these is not cool.

Anne (in Reno) - I've been wondering how the foot fits in there all. day. long.

Hid.e.ous.

Not only are they ugly, but they do nothing for the line of the leg. Blech.

Oy! WTF. Looks like some kinda ugly fungus growing afoot.

Horrid. This is a style or vile one for me where the answer is all to clear.

i LOVE them. Love McQueen. Love the shoes. Love them.

Would never ever consider wearing them, I don't do heals... just a comfort thing.

PS all this dismay is reminding me of a recent AT comment section....

Shoe vases!

Love McQueen, don't love the left and right pairs. The middle pair is kind of interesting... they remind me of how the Alien attaches itself to the host.

Sol Kawage said...

my ankles hurt just by looking at these, Raina, please post something else :D
anyway, curious note, these horror shoes are produced in Italy in a town near where I live.
ah, OT, once I bought a pair of manolo's at the factory near Milan, cost? 40€

I normally love everything McQueen does and I have my share of funky shoes but these . . . I just can't get on board with. Although I really like the decorative detail on the first one.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha! It's got to be a sick joke, by a man of course! What's next - the old Chinese "foot binding" making a comeback?
