Stocking the guest room library

Just ordered these for the nightstand in the guest bedroom:

1. "Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat's Jewel Box" by Madeleine Albright
2. "Answered Prayers: The Unfinished Novel" by Truman Capote
3. "Holidays on Ice: Stories" by David Sedaris
4. "Redeeming Features: A Memoir" by Nicholas Haslam

Love your taste in books -- what a stack! Just ordered the Truman Capote for David. Is the Sedaris book a reissue? If it’s the one I have, it’s worth reading every December. Would love to read the Nicky Haslam too.

The Sedaris book is hilarious (as are most of his books). I love that you are adding book options for your guests to enjoy. Very welcoming.

Great books but even greater that you make your guest room a special haven for visitors. Kuddo's to you x

Holidays on Ice is my favorite David Sedaris book, and I'm really anxious to read Madeline Albright's brooch book.

Risley and Dylan - Hello and welcome to this deliciousness!

SusieQ - Yep, it's the same one he released in 1998. I just happen to love this cover. And we gave away all of our Sedaris books when we moved to NZ. Time to re-stock!

Jess - If you're a new Jess and not the currently commenting Jess, welcome!

Love love love David Sedaris.
If I run away from home, can I book a night or two in Denver?

Those are some good ones. Be sure to put a copy of the current Elle Decor casually opened to the denver page on the nightstand

So for real? Is this the proper etiquette for a guest room?
Then I am doing a really crap job of it! I currently have a 15 year old house guest who is dossing on the floor of my office - only fabric samples & furniture catalog's as the reading matter available here!

Great selection of books for anyone to relax with! So sorry to not visit sooner Raina!

The Madeline Albright book is incredible... a bunch of us drooled over it at a local bookstore on a mom's night out. Love the idea of special books for the guest bedroom. Now I need a guest bedroom!
