Like I need someone to draw that for me...I have a legitimate mess going on that could kick that one's ass.

I have a sick fascination looking at other people's hot messes- but if it was my mess I would be having a breakdown, and that drawing would just a mocking reminder of all my shortcomings. Take home message. Give me the industrial stool, the dhurrie rug and that little spool of violet somethin' or other over there in the corner.

I think it is pretty cool, myself. That wall would be so hard to resist-I would be coloring "inside the lines" or doodling outside the lines everytime I got on the phone - if this were my office! I just don't think I could leave it alone;-)

Ditto Alison and Sherri.

No. Come on. No. Although the rest of the room is fine.

I'm going out on a limb and saying yes! As contrived as the whole scenario appears, I think it's not contrived. It looks to me as though a really creative spirit resides here. It doesn't look overly styled. More like a moment from real life, Selby-like. And no, I haven't been drinking. ;0)

Now R., what say you?

I saw this, and it reminds me of my own mess, only more on purpose. Not where I WANT to be, on purpose or not.

Closets have doors so you don't have to see that. Why would anyone immortalize it in a drawing? On the plus side, like Ita I want the industrial stool.

i'll take the rug and leave the rest right there.

I'll let you know once the room is finished. The initial renderings are OK.

I was going to say that I would've drawn a much neater mess.

All that line work seems busy and makes me nervous. Maybe if I were standing in the room it wouldn't be quite the focal point it appears as in the photo. Yes, R, what say you?

Tracy - Hello and welcome to this deliciousness!

Maggie@Okay, now what? said...

Nope.

Me in a drunken stupor wondering why I can't get anything out of the freaking closet.

To quote my autistic son- "This room hurts my eyes."

Cristin's comment might be the funniest ever. I can so see that!

I don't think Santa can fit anything in that stocking. Serves them right for being naughty and drawing all over the walls.

NKP & Susie - It looks like a canvas (see the ripples in the upper left). If it's a piece of art, rather than being drawn on the wall, does that make a difference? Just curious.

nkp said...

You're right, look at the bottom left corner near the steps...clearly a canvas. Oh, and I still like it. Maybe even more now that I know I could take it down.

I just glanced at this photo again as I was scrolling off the post above it. It's too busy. I actually held my fingers above the desk. I love the photo from the table's apron downward.

{ My security word is 'fatty'. C'mon now! Your blog is just plain being mean to me! }
