I wonder if she has a rash on her arm from wearing it. Party frock related injury....

I dig the fanny pack.

What is that growth coming out of her hip?

I actually thought she looked beautiful from the waist up. It was when she spoke that she ruined it all.

sans appendages it probably would have been stunning.

Kinda looks like the beginning of the barnacles forming all over her body after she joined Captain Davy Jones' ghost ship in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Love that thing on her shoulder but not on her hip. I was distracted by it while she gave her speech...

Kudos to her for carrying off that colour but it does look like she is struggling to know what to do with her right arm...

I think she looked pretty and the dress is lovely, just minus the scrub brush coming off her hip.

Shoulder poof, well okay... Hip? No....

There will be blood.

Actually, I loved this.

I also think those jeweled sea urchins would look great on a cocktail table. Or as a chandelier somehow. Seriously, though. I really liked it. It's insane. Maybe not as crazy as saluting the ballroom, though.

She always chooses some insane getup. Gotta applaud her for not running with the black dress herd, but I wouldn't wear it. Ever.

Yes on the shoulder, no on the hip (and the way the hip was cut on that dress did her no favors). Bad hair (I know she was pulling it back to combat the frizzies on a rainy night, but a 'do like that is a time for hair extensions if ever there was one. Her twist/bun was non-existent).

And her speech was whack-a-doo. Come on, even if you think someone else is going to win, you've got to have SOME notes or something. She could have stored them in the coral growing on her hip.

Looks like she has a loofah on her hip and shoulder.

And what's with the slotches on the lower half of her gown? Get a bit tipsy at the pre-party?

i think the designer would've lost the challenge had they been on Project Runway.

I love it - she looks interesting & shows she has personality.

This is in my top ten worst dresses of the night, My top 5 made it to my blog :)
It's not hideous but it's certainly not good either. The lumps look kind of like albino hedghogs, no?

I like the shoulder one, but not the hip... it does look uncomfortable.

Loved it, and loved the fact that it was an interesting dress that stood out rather than a generically pretty one.

The bit on the hip was bizarre, but I loved the rest of it. It's nice to see someone not playing it safe.

p.s. lil' sumthin' sumthin' for you on post before hubba hubba at my place. I know I always "award" you, but seriously - you deserve it, lady.

My grandpa is a dermatologist and always gets these medical journals featuring photos of strange skin conditions and odd out-of-control growths.

I actually loved this dress. This isn't the most flattering photo of it but on the red carpet I thought it was stunning.

I think she looks fantatsic -even 1/2 wet. The side fanny pack I could have done without but the one on the shoulder is pretty great I think. Did you see it closeup? it's like little flowers with crystals on them.

ArchitectDesign - I did see the up close and personal on those beaded croissants. Amazing work.

She looks stunning! the sort of move star glamor that is seldom seen.
