House Beautiful has wood

Hey y'all, the new House Beautiful has wood! For anyone who received their issue yesterday, what do you think?

The wood tones featured are golden, white-washed, limed, and cerused. Does this mean the death of the "espresso" finish?

I'm quite jazzed by the soft blue and almost mauve colors on the cover. After years of sage and jewel tones, 1980s pastels are BACK.

P.S. The Hershey bar is covering up my address. After the photo was shot, the chocolate was quickly consumed.

I was just flipping through this issue at breakfast. Haven't given it the full once over, but so far so good! I'm crazy head-over-heels for the house on Shelter Island owned by the couple from Ochre. Yep, the one on the cover. That house rocks my socks. I'm shocked that I love the color combinations, but I do, I do. Really good issue.

Did you see the article on on the black background wallpapers? Love.

I was quite pleased by the issue.

Although, mine didn't come with chocolate.

Haven't checked my mail box in weeks (here in TX you have to walk to the mailbox... I hate that) Anyway... I'm hoping this doesn't mean that the insipid Belgian gray and dreary look is infiltrating all sorts of style decor. I was hoping it would just roll over and die, already!

Yes, yes, yes!!!! My favorite too and I knew it would be yours. I'd love to get a quote on it, but I'm afraid the sticker shock would kill me! ;0)

Cerused oak = YES. Espresso woods = NO.

That's pretty much it. Except I will add that KW called the return of mauve long, long ago... or maybe she made it return?

Whatever. I heart pastels. Yes, I typed "heart."
