Lonny, I ain't hatin'

Lonny issue numero quatro has arrived. And I think it's finally come into its own. Despite the the slighty worn-out April "eco" theme, the editorial is solid and well-photographed. Even the copy and page layout has improved.

I wouldn't argue with a single choice on this page.

This room makes my bits quiver.

Nick Olsen always brings it. ALWAYS.

That blue, that rug - loves it.

Adore the goat. And how happy am I to see that book go into its second printing? Very, because, like a dumbass, I waited too long to buy it the first time 'round.

I'll forgive the red coral because it's sitting on a lucite trunk.

And it wouldn't be Lonny without the a-a-a-a-alcohol.

Fuzzy glamour shot of the bar tray.

Did I mention that Nick Olsen always brings it? ALWAYS.

Okay, does this look like a drying rack of used condoms to anyone else?

I completely agree. Only exception was the "Made it Myself" article where a girl made a light fixture out of the bottom of plastic water bottles.

Jamie - Oh yeah. I think my eyes glossed right over that because my mind said "Aw, hell no."

I guess I need to get in step and read the magazine. I haven't read one issue yet. But I will never part w/my red coral. I liked it before it got trendy and I won't stop. But i may reign it in abit! :) I love your captions. yes, right on

I agree - though I am torn on the lucite trunk. But maybe that's because is if it's the one I think it is that baby is like 3 Gs. I'm not certain, however, bc I didn't read any of the articles or sources--in all honesty, I still find this stuff hard to read on-line though maybe I'll feel differently if I ever get an iPad. Don't get me wrong, I like acrylic in small doses but I can't take crazy priced plastic...

hehe, my first thought when i saw the last picture was "what's with the condom chandelier?" Drying rack is better.

So, would I be a bad design blogger if I said I've not yet read a single issue of Lonny? I guess I just wait for you to edit it for me.

YES to Nick Olsen. That's style.

YES to striped rugs (why then, don't I own one?)

YES to the last question.

Love Nick Olsen, Love this issue of Lonny. HATE that condom chandy.... And I think that python tray was in every picture in the magazine.

I will never be able to read the damn words though. And i think its SO PATHETIC that Lonny doesnt work on an iPAD. Its only hope is to be reformatted for "reader" type gadgets. Ive seen some other mags on it, and its the coolest thing ever.

OMG! I actually thought the light fixture was charming in the spread...I think it was intended for a child's room! AND now, like one of those optical illusions, I can only see condoms! Twisted!

Yup. Drying rack of used condoms. Ew.

Have already gone through the fourth issue of Lonny... still would love a hard copy to have and hold, but I will settle for on-line version. (Good thing as it is the only version)

yikes -- used, stretched out condoms. you -- as always -- are spot on. (and that horrible thing was from the home I gushed about!)

This one should go to print. The James Nares paintings, the brass coffee table, the Nick Olsen the Nick Olsen the Nick Olsen. Sigh. I have a really unhealthy crush on him.

It's all good by me, sans the oozy condoms.

Oh honey. I'm drilling down deep in the old Google reader wondering, so, what did Raina think of the new Lonny? Of course you had an opinion and you cracked me up.
