The Shiny Pebble Designer Challenge

Today is the debut of The Shiny Pebble Designer Challenge. Catherine Hopkins of TSP recently invited several design bloggers, include yours truly, to "virtually" make over her dining room. Each Wednesday over the next few weeks, Catherine will be introducing a new blogger and unveiling her design.

Dumplings, scoot yourselves over to The Shiny Pebble tout de suite and check out my design based on the colonial architecture of French Indochina.

I loved it. Every element, from the inspiration shots down to the golden patina of the sconces. It's just gorgeous Raina and the fact that you used that beautiful wallpaper as a jumping off point-brilliant! Just one question, can you make this a weekly feature? I would love to tune in for a regular episode. You are a shining talent, girlfriend!

Agree with everything nkp just said! (I actually have that fish wallpaper in our Vt. condo in an orange and gold colorway! I love it!) You make the world a much prettier place!

Aren't you just greatly talented?! My husband saw it for the first time last night and he was soooo impressed. He noticed how the I just died and went to heaven chandelier was such a compliment to the wall paper. Fantastic! Also, the way Raina used color in such a sophisticated pallete was genious. And the richness of all of the textures with the glamour of just a hint of gold... Brilliant! I could go on forever just ooohing and aaaahwing over the whole thing. Yes, a weekly feature, please!!! Oh, I have to add. Raina had that gorgeous design to me within hours of my requesting it. The woman can turn them out like Mozart could his symphonies.

Dreamer's Den - I use the Keynotes program on my Mac. It's similar to PowerPoint but much easier.
