Vintage is now

Desire to Inspire.

OK, stay with me, Dumplings, and focus on the bedding. Would you even think twice if you saw that at your local IKEA today?

P.S. I totally had the Fisher-Price garage he is playing with.

I need no convincing! I love it! And not just the bedding. The art wall, the bed configuration-fabulous. I have to show that bed to my sister. It would make for an amazing room once the twins are out of the crib stage. Hell, how awesome would it be for a sleepover?!?

Such a great find, Raina!

Great bedding but why have they fenced in their child!?
I wanted the Fisher Price garage and the aeroplane, we did have the fold out house though.

My 28 and 30-year-old sons had that Merrimekko SP bedding on their bunk beds! Guess what? It's still available! I know this because I have a 5 year-old grandson!

My sister and I had that garage too. And the barn, and the airplane. But I preferred to make the Fisher Price people live in harmony with the Weebles in my painted pressboard dollhouse. Totally out of scale. I guess even at that age I felt a need for really high ceilings.

@cardinalkay that's the truth! marimekko bedding fo sho- i bought some at a thrift store a few years ago for my "couch bedding" situation.. i donated it again, but it was fun for a hot minute.. i love the wall pictures arranged in that fashion and the half wall built in space. badassical!

Aww, my son had that bedding circa early 80s! Brings back memories.

I also had that pattern, but by the time it had gotten handed down to me through the family, it was just the blanket.
