Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds was my first thought.

Birds or chairs. Not both. (The choice is pretty simple for me - love Trove wallpaper).

Hate the wall decals, hate the carpet, but lurve the table and chairs. They would look much better in my home.

Chairs & Birds. One cute idea too many...

No, make that two cute ideas too many. Strange, very strange.

not digging the chair decals. the bird decals are at least, interesting, but there are way too many of them. overall I give it a nope.

I suffer from ornithophobia so this room is actually one of my nightmares come true.

Nita {ModVintageLife} said...

I'd only go in that room if I had Rod Taylor by my side.

Mitch! Mitch!

The flocks of birds are identical. It's better to change them a little.

I nearly spit my lunch. I love birds, love them. But, no.

One of my best friends absolutely hates birds. She could never go into this house.

Cashon&Co said...

now you know I love birds, but this kind of frightens me a little bit. I think three of them would of been lovely

Cashon&Co said...

and Teri's comment made me laugh. "spit my lunch" hilarious!

am i the only one that has a huge problem with one directional rugs? it bugs the shit out of me when rugs only make sense one direction. other than that- i am once again hung over, feel like crap and the whole room is making me question sobriety, when i swore two hours ago that i was going to quit drinking

No no no. Ack.

Ouch. Start over. I think the intention was to make that kitchen drop ceiling less monolithic, but it fails.

hate it.
is that really trove? eh, doesn't matter -- it's a huge hell to the no.

Chairs on the walls, chair on the rug hmmmm...yet despite my avian obsession..I concur with all the Hitchcock references. Looks a nice place, but too much decal action.

Will a simple NO suffice? At this rate, perhaps they should change the name of the publication to "Nesting No Nos"!

Raina Cox said...

NKP - Seriously. That publication is a train wreck.

zhush and jill, i am still laughing! raina, when i read the title 'your thoughts please' i get giddy with anticipation...as i scrolled down today, i could feel my own jaw dropping in disbelief. this to me takes the 'your thoughts please' cake. they don't happen to be the owners of the themed loo you showed a while back, are they?!

Raina Cox said...

Shelley - I don't think so, but you just know there is something unsettling going on in this person's bathroom.

Acanthus and Acorn said...

Just step away from the decals! One is good...more is NOT!!!

Strange combo of visual icons -- birds in flight and dining chairs. Horrid.

Occasional Enthusiast said...

So this is fantastic. I love the pairing of something meant to ground you and something that signifies taking flight. And it's done in such an unexpected way. I love it.

I am loving the birds! The chair decals are okay also but not together. Sticking with one or the other would have been better. Looks like someone fell in love with decals and then went overboard. You wouldn't happen to know where I could find the birds do you?

Raina Cox said...

Occasional Enthusiast - Hello and welcome to this deliciousness!

O-M-G! I'm going to have nightmares about those birds tonight.

Karen - Hello and welcome this deliciousness!

Just because we have this technology doesn't mean we should use it. It is getting tireing. Let's have a wall word and decal proliferation treaty and stick to it. Looks like a man designed this room.

LittleMissSew said...

love the birds.
all other decal should go.
table needs no pattern.
neither does the carpet.
