The new Vogue Living Australia

Vogue Living Australia is no longer posting online sneak peeks of their new issues, other than a few frustratingly tantalizing shots. BOO!

A few days ago, I received a note from the lovely Sandy K., an Aussie follower of La Lamp Shade. She let me know that this issue is beyond fabulous and includes a terrific DVD of the Milan Design Fair. Delicious!

Guess who is going to be at her local Border's every day waiting with bated breath for the air-freighted copies to be unpacked?

A Perfect Gray - I will try my hardest to get my hands on that issue. If I do, I will most definitely be doin' some scanning.

Do you love a crusty wall as much as I do?

This might convert me to the 'crusty walls' camp. That bottom picture is pretty amazing.

I keep saying I'm not going to buy as many magazines, but I love Vogue Living. Thanks for the heads up!

re Vogue Living. I agree it is very very annoying, but most Oz magazines are not online. They don't get it in the way US ones do. I do like VL but mostly i think it is way way too Sydneycentric. It is also now very 'international' . I liked it more when it focused on Australian interiors.

If you want a copy let me know I will post it to you.

.It would be cheaper than paying rip off airfreight prices.

So, why is it that when John Dickinson left his old wallpaper glue on the walls after taking it down it looked amaaaazing, and in this photo, whoever did it also came up with amazing, and when I do it, it looks like I can't afford paint?

Why is life so unfair?

Oh, and that waiting at Border's for the new mags? How I identify. My local Borders, the only source for WOI in Eastern Maine, had a major four month magazine meltdown, and I'm only just now recovering and able to talk about the trauma it inflicted.

Jane - How absolutely lovely of you!

If you don't mind sending me your email (lampshadeblog {at} gmail {dot} com), I'll get in touch with you.

And I'm more than happy to return the favor with any US magazines you'd like to see.

I was going to offer to send you a copy but Jane beat me to it.

Meanwhile, what is with the choice of font on the new cover? Also, the colours are more purple and fluorescent yellow in person.

Raina Cox said...

Cerebral E - Hello and welcome to this deliciousness! Thanks so much for the offer.

I'm not sure the font choice, perhaps one of our graphic designer Dumplings could weigh in.

I didn't think VLA could improve on perfection, but they have.
