Dear Raina, The separate items are interesting but, I feel, that as a whole this does not quite work, at least not for me. Somehow, there is nothing to connect one piece with another - they remain disparate rather than contributing to a whole. The suitcases piled are effective but are they not slightly déja vue?

What, I ask, is there to encourage a group of friends to sit together with a drink and to have a conversation?

I think its a bedroom...take away the corset lamp and we're cool...liking that metal tub in the fireplace. The light floors are gorgeous.

Is it Tim Burton's house?

that is a guest room at 40 winks, by david carter. they have some cool stuff, but i couldnt stand sleeping in a room with a dress making dummy. they're on the same par with ventriloquists dummy's in my book.

Really cool and whimsy.

Amazing pieces individually - but I'd feel a bit like an art installation myself if I lived there!

flat out gorgeous room. i could do without the giant luggage/hat box combo (a little too stagey shabby chic). the lamp is kinda cool, and i could see it in a darker edgier space (abigail ahern) but here it's all just too "sweet".
the doll, the dress form...unless it's a little girls room...then LOVES!
but what a gorgeous, clean looking room..

The room itself is beautiful. But I don't care for the lamp, suitcases, dress form, doll.

Creepy. That thing sitting on the chair looks like something that would give me nightmares.

If there was furniture with a cool pillow or two where the luggage is placed, I'd say it's cool!

I love the lamp shade (but not the lampbase) but not sure I could live with it. The painting is the only thing I would want to buy. The doll is freaky - just the way its head is lolling.

No man is an island and no man would set foot in this bedroom.

for some reason I'm imagining that the dolls and dressforms come alive at night and dance around the room...

Love the floors, though.

okay, not me, but I like it! Just get rid of that hideous corset lamp and it's kind of unique!

actually pretty interesting, but that corset lamp just sort of towers over stuff....maybe a brassiere chandelier might counterpoint it?

The floors are pretty. I like the window. The chairs could be ok. The rest makes me feel like I just ate 10 tons of cotton candy and then barfed all over the place.

I'm laughing... each piece is cool - and for one who's all about mixin' and matchin' and finding personal decorating happiness - it's a lil' crazy even for me! With that being said... give me the chair. now.

This room has so much potential and
each piece has its own right and would be interesting but in this case I do not even recognize what kind of room this is?
This is a sammelsurium of objects where I have the feeling that the "designer" did not know what to do with it.

Mrs. Sutton and Juliab - Hello to both of you and welcome to this deliciousness!

I deal in vintage fashion and sell it online. I don't like it when people decorate with clothing. (And that ensemble as the choice? Why?)

There is something unsettling about this room. The lamp might as well be a traffic light because my eye goes right there and stops. And then I think, "I wish that the vintage portrait wasn't stuck behind that traffic light."

some fun pieces on their own, But it looked to me like someone had bunch of curiosities left over from a shopping trip and having no where to put them just sat them in the extra guest room. I am all for having some unusual pieces, but this makes no sense.
