The "Weeds" room in the Showtime House, a charitable event
with decorated rooms inspired by the cable channel's series.

Was fired up before you said "charity event" so it is best I stay silent.

Mrs. Woog - Now, Woogie, don't let that put you off. I just thought I had better explain the context of such a, um, unique room.

Oh gosh. It's hideous.

Ms Cox - only because you gave me the green light.......

It is like the trophy wall of the local community theatre ensemble centre that is about to lose their grant, showcasing every naff presentation that they have been awarded over the past 65 years.........pantpantpant. Yes... that does feel better.

at first glance it sucks. but when i clicked bigger i noticed things that i liked...like the wallpaper that is sadly hidden behind that clusterfuck of art. but overall it's just weird. furniture scale is all wrong, not to mention the placement. and it's pretty telling when you look at a room and have no fucking idea what room it is supposed to serve as.

I don't understand covering up the all the birds heads on the wallpaper. And, other than the "weed" coming from the chandelier, I am confused. But, I also don't watch the show, so maybe this is how set rooms of the characters look?

Weeds inspired -this is the LAST place I'd wanna be when Im stoned!!

Maybe it's so you don't have to get stoned. This room will make you feel like you already are?

The table and two chairs are fab, although they would need to be recovered. The rest can get sprayed with weedkiller.

This is a perfect example of how some really great elements, when placed together can be all wrong. I think the wallpaper is vintaging cool, and the chandelier is also unique, but you can't appreciate any of it when it is thrown together like this. Reminds me of my grandmother's house (god rest her soul)!

I don't watch the show but this is not at all what I picture when I think of weed

Hilarious. Decorated when stoned?

what the hell is it, a guest room for garden gnomes? Besides being heinous its looks super uncomfortable.

From what I can make out of the wallpaper, it seems pretty and promising. I also don't mind the gallery wall as much as I typically do .... but yeah, the rest of the room has just gone awry.

I guess this is supposed to be Bubbe's house in California...thinking its more "skunk" than "weed"...

I'd take it with wallpaper - I'm all about a good parrot, but the rest...were they perhaps on acid?

That wall just gave me a migraine. Oh wait, so did the drapes and carpet. How could anyone RELAX in there - oh wait, if you laid on the chaise and looked OUTSIDE, maybe.

It's all wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong! How is this representative of HBO Weeds? Wrong.

hmmmmm...I like that wallpaper, although I wouldn't want it in my house. Everything else? Not so much.

Yikes. It needs less. A lot lot lot less.

I love this show, but this room has clearly been "decorated" by someone who knows nothing about it - ugh! I think you would love the show.

One time I got sick after eating sushi and it looked a lot like that rug.

Ceci and Carrie - Hello to you both and welcome to this deliciousness!

Disassemble it and I like pieces. I kind of like the walls...but I don't like the drapes and rug with them.

Bri @Meyouandawienerdog said...

looks like someone nailed grandma to the wall along with all her crap.

I'm sure whoever lives here loves it, but it's a no go for me.

Horrendous but without it I'd never have heard the word 'clusterfuck' so am slightly conflicted now.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Showtime House. I enjoyed it immensely as I am a Showtime groupie. That being said, if you're not, it doesn't fly. The whole project is totally conceptual, supposedly based on the shows, not good design taste. I didn't even get Weeds and I watch the show. My faves were the Borgia's (upcoming Showtime Series) and the Big "C".
