Beautiful studies in color. I am not normally a fan of mirrored furniture, but the minimal simplicity of that chest totally makes it work and it's so strategically placed.

I have never seen a mirrored piece with such clean lines - so modern and sleek. The mix of pieces here is wonderful. Raina, you ALWAYS do it for me...

The mirrored piece up top is fab. Digging the green art too...

I don't care for the low-back, draped couch in the second pic, but love the artwork in both!

I loved that house in House Beautiful. My fave, by far for a long time.

Whew. We're experiencing the first cold grey rain of October, a reminder that Winter is on the horizon, and I barely dared look for fear it would be another sunny Greek terrace to torment me....

I may hate the gray day, but I love the gray room--crisp, edited (yeah, I admit it, I aspire to edited crispness)---and beautiful everything, from mantel to furniture to art.

Sorry, I'd adore the bottom room too, but that slipcover just makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. What that about? Please tell me it isn't an updated version of the Shabby chic slipcover? There's a revival I hope I don't live to see...

That top photo is in my top 10. Love it.

Love everything about these delicious pics, except for that gag inducing slipcover.

I've been diggin on colored grasscloths recently like room #2. Never thought I would, but I like the vibrant color and subtle texture.

Still don't like colored cowhides though. Even if I have spied Vicente Wolf using a few....

I just love the blue grasscloth walls in #2.

That teal grasscloth is stellar! It's just perfect with the colors in the screen, which is amazing on it's own. Love that room!

Yesss....especially the first shot.
Though the grasscloth wallcovering, casual slipcover treatment, screen and fur pillow are pretty damn good too.

So lyrical. I wish I understood color that well.
