Default October weekend entertainment

PUMPKIN PATCH!

Gratuitous Colorado autumnal splendor.

LB assists The Pea in selecting the perfect carving pumpkin.

A barrel train or "redneck roller coaster."

Squee! The Pea feeds a goat.

Double squee!! Baby longhorns.

Buffalo tongue nom noms on a feed pellet.

Like a rhinestone cowgirl (pony haz a sadz).

Dumplings, did you spent quality time in a pumpkin patch this weekend?

The Pea is such a happy child. I can tell because she has the same sparkle as my D.

I am sorry to say I have never even seen a pumpkin patch let alone been in one.

I am extremely impressed by the fact you put Pea in a pumpkin coloured top. I like to match my children's clothes to their activities too !! xo

Wow, this is as good as it gets.
Seriously...the Pea...LB...the pumpkin...that skyline.
Decor be damned, who could ask for anything more.
Alas we haven't hit a patch in over a year, back when we were in Omaha visiting some fam.
My little guy begs to go back and ride the "redneck roller coaster" once more.
Hugs from Houston, Alcira

The mountains really look like that, huh? I die. I wish I had spent time in a pumpkin patch with a perfect Pea but I mostly cleaned the house while hubby worked overtime on Saturday and we spent all day shopping in Manhattan on Sunday.

Oh the cuteness. Save me a bite of that sandwich!!!

We haven't made it to the pumpkin patch this year. :-(
Uncharacteristically busy lately. Looks like you had a great time!

No, but I did my time in pumpkin patches for a number of years. One of the great memories of raising children.

Is the Pea asking about siblings or does she relish being the one and only?

It's funny now that my older daughter and younger son are just about grown and good friends, but when he first came along, she hated relinquishing the role of only child and had no use for him whatsoever. For years.

My retinas are permanently destroyed!

She is just so freakin adorable!!! You breed well.

San Antonio doesn't have pumpkin patches. Take that back, they bring pumpkins to Church parking lots and call that a pumpkin patch. So, we just buy from the grocery store.

Although, this weekend was spent turning the house upside down in a major rearranging project.

Topaz - She was obsessed with babies this past spring. In April and and May, four of her preschool classmates has siblings born. She's forgotten about it now - thank goodness because she's going to be an only.

your sweet pea is adorable..and so innocent looking. i hate to sully this with anything vulgar-but this time of year always calls to mind the mcsweeney's classic: "it's decorative gourd season mother------s!"
so shellac those mutant gourds and put em in a wicker cornucopia!

Mariah - I believe that in 200 years, that McSweeney's post will be regarded as literary classic rivaling any of Thoreau's work.

And welcome to this deliciousness!
