Imagine if you will

So if you were vacationing on the island of Ibiza and stumbled across a 150-year-old farmhouse abandoned for the past four decades, you would have the vision to turn it into something like this, right?

It's probably haunted if it makes you feel better.

No? Oh well.

DYING for this. Seriously. I spent a few weeks in Greece a few years back, and this reminds me of that time. Breaks my heart, actually. That is a dream life in a parallel universe! Not sure it actually exists. Yeah, that makes me feel better.

i don't think i'd have the vision (or the funds!) to make this happen. but i sure appreciate what has been done! and i would LOVE to take advantage of it!

Raina, these endless posts of sunwashed terraces high above blue sea in warm climates must stop! No more! I am in such an agitated state of desire/envy that no telling what my passport and I will do (oh for the old days, when the American dollar went far, and one could be a stylish expatriate for very little cash...)

Oh, and yes, of course, I would have the sense to keep it simple and whitewashed, to answer the question---it's what the building and the site demand...and it is gorgeous

Holy Hell-yeah.
This reminds me of the all-too-short 48-hours we spent at my sister's place in Ibiza two summers ago. It was dreamy.
Speaking of outdoor living, I guess we're all going to have to wait with baited breath until next spring for the grand reveal of your modern moorish extravaganza? By this I mean your back porch, btw.

Alcira - Sadly, yes, the back patio will have to wait until next summer. But before then I will have a delicious master bath to share.

I just want to point out that there is some real brilliance here -- a spectacular house in a remote location, one that will be used only occasionally -- and there is nothing inside or out that a burglar would bother to carry off.

Brilliant.

The Ancient - Excellent point.
