the blanket, ok nice, but can we talk about that ceiling circus-tent-fringed awesomeness!!?!

Wow! If I hadn't read the caption I would have thought it very current and beautiful! It really does come back around.

Agree with Sally! That could be a new picture!

The picture now would be: no shoes, thinner model (so thin, near death), her name would be Suzy Cameran Estelle Parker, and the Moroccan wedding blanket would be the same, although produced and designed by her new linen company. Purchased only on line and restricted for the trade only.

Am still dying for one of these handiras something fierce, except the one of my dreams is likely black and has probably got some silver sequin action going on. D'you hear that Moroccan Maryam?
Awesome flashback. Indeed, you know you're getting old(er) when styles starting coming full circle!
Such is our fate, I guess ; )

Damn, Kevin is right. And that's depressing.

Love the photo though!

This setup looks so real - her shoe souls are scuffed and they have left the lamp cord dangling - oh how styling has changed...but the look? Absolutely gorgeous darling!

I actually thought that was a contemporary photograph too.

Suzy Parker was beautiful, wasn't she? And apparently pretty sexy, too. That rug! The wedding blanket! And I'm loving the ceiling treatment! Yummy.

She married the actor Bradford Dillman and they had lots of kids and supposedly lived a very happy life. Living well truly is the best revenge.

Would never have guessed this was from 1957 but now that I read Kevin's comment, I have to agree in spades. You would never see that dangling cord anymore (as sad as that is- I have dangling lamp cords and I'm very proud of them:)I loved his 'to the trade' remark- it's basically the story of my life- goes something like "are you trade?" I answer "no, just a person." They answer "sorry, can't help you:(" Anyhoo...I digress- gorgeous photo!!

Dying for one of these!

It's fabulous, at once vintage and current. And hooray that it's not photoshopped to death. Those were the days when shoe scuffs and lamp cords were not taboo.
