Would you do this?

Fashion designer Rachel Roy hung a hammock in her bedroom.

HOT GOSS ALERT!
That would be the bedroom she will soon be forced to vacate. The loft was owned by her ex-husband hip hop mogul Damon Dash whose recent financial woes forced him into bankruptcy. His New York City properties were auctioned off, including this loft in TriBeCa. Miz Roy is taking her sweet time vacating the property much to the consternation of the home's new owner who is taking her to court over the matter.

Celebrities and the Great Recession - they're just like us!!!

Back to the question at hand. Dumplings, would you hang a hammock in your bedroom?

Update: Looks like Roy finally got out of Dodge. The loft is now empty and has already been put back on the market by the new owner.

No way ( about the gossip I mean! That is too funny.. )anyway, the hammock, no, but I'd really just like to have one outside, they are so damn comfy!

My answer is N-O.

When I first saw this image, I was a bit taken aback.
I mean come on, Rachel Roy? That stunning, statuesque creatrix of all things lean, mean and stylin'?
What gives here? Could she really be this, er, real.
Then I imagined swinging-cum-slamming right into that footboard and it made me throw up in my mouth just a little....ouch!

THAT would piss me off to the max. TO THE MAX. I am pissed off even looking at it. It would store all my handbags and scarves and shit then at night, it would be a booby trap if I needed to piss.

I'd have to be convinced or bribed to put one outside, the bedroom would never happen.

No, I like a hanging chair though...

If I had a big enough bedroom, absolutely I would.

Only if you had one with me! You are the best.

NEVER in a million years... *shudder*

What's with all the "shuddering"? And "swinging cum slamming"? How old are you people?

Full disclosure: I once had a hammock on a sun porch that was right off my bedroom. It was cheaper than a sofa. No one was scandalized or projected their juvenile fantasies toward it. At least out loud.

Hmmmm, I don't think so, but I'm open to the possibility.

By the way, have you taken a gander at this HB issue yet? I am totally disappointed. It is a complete snooze. Yawn.

Hi Topaz,

Keep in mind that hanging a hammock on a sun porch is a logical progression. Parking one right up against a large wooden bed -- not so much ;)

Cheers, Alcira

I did have a Yucatan hammock in my bedroom when I was about 10. It was fun for slumber parties. We could fit like 4 girls in it at once. Today I would only have one in my island house....ahhh, someday...

no way! Especially the way she did it, it looks like her bedroom is hard to navigate with the hammock in the way. I'm unhappy just looking at this...

1- NO- too crowded and too close to the bed. But I would put it on my patio for sure.
2- thanks for the gossip. hate how everyone's lives always seem so perfect in magazine. glad to know she's a hot mess just like me. muhahaha.

In my bedroom- no, my child's- yes.

I have hung hammock swings in a playroom. We did it because our autistic son loves them, my husband and I also really enjoyed it.

Get your mind out of the gutter! Me for reading in and he for playing Halo in.
