Leather daddies, shower pans, and a baby named Eero

Douglas Friedman Photography.

Peter Marino is the architect behind many of the world's most glamourous (with two "u"s) stores. Think Dior, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. Through January 24th, Marino's collection of 16th - 18th century bronzes will be on display at The Huntington Art Gallery in San Marino (!!!), California. Lots of little naked men in clenches.

We now have a shower pan in the master bath, and the shower floor penny tiles will be laid next week. The travertine (NOT tumbled) has been ordered for the shower walls and bath floor. And I realize only David and I find this photo sexy beyond belief.

And last, but in no way least, one of my blog BFFs, Karly Hand, gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy last Friday morning. Planet Earth, please welcome Eero Gore Miller Hand! Mazel Tov, KP and Matty!!!

I'm thrilled for you and your shower pan, but I have to admit, I just can't get over that gorgeous baby boy. Holy smokes that is one "delicous dumpling" to quote a good friend of mine. And may I just add, that Erin has some crazy mad photography skillz. Sheesh, the cuteness.

I agree, Eero is a very handsome name. For a handsome boy. And I know exactly what you mean in finding that shower pan photo SEXY.

What a terrific trio.
I happen to think Peter Marino -- including his crazy clenched, leather-bound hell's angels cowboys -- rocks the hizzy.
And yes, that pan is the stuff of dirty dreams. We've got untumbled trav in our master bath too. Can't wait for the big reveal.
However, I must agree with your faithful followers here, the gnocchi baby takes the cake.

Wow. Have I been out of touch or what? Congrats, Karly! I'm frantically searching to make sure you're not reproducing again without my knowledge. :-)

Pleeeease tell me what a shower pan is. My bathroom is gutted, I'm being my own contractor to save $ and i think I need a shower pan?

"Oh, look at me! I used to a little turnip, but after my mid-life coming out crisis, I got a trainer, and some Just for Men for my beard, and now I'm just so cool going to formal parties in biker gear..." Live and let live, I always say, but ugh.

The bronzes are magnificent, however.

Kim - All showers have pans, it's just another name for the base. Our shower is over-sized and an odd shape, so our choices were to pour a concrete pan (too much weight on the floor below) or use a Schluter system:

Love David's comment. I said the exact same thing! And that was my favorite of Erin's photo -- gotta love a baby's baby-bird-face.

Growing up in St. Louis, Eero (as in Saarinen, as in the Arch) was a very famous name. Love it.

The Down East Dilettante spoke for me, as well.

As I am currently living in a rental, I have to live vicariously through other people's renovation projects and am excited beyond belief to see that work in progress.

Can't wait to see the finished result of your master bathroom :)

PS: the title of your post here had me LOL

Only you can put leather daddies, shower pans and a baby in one sentence and making me WANT to read up on it :)
