Just in time for last-minute shopping

Rock progeny and fashion designer Stella McCartney is opening the first Las Vegas outpost of her eponymous ready-to-wear collection. The 2900-square-foot store (seen in a rendering above) bows this Thursday at the Crystals retail complex of CityCenter.

The store's concept was designed by the London studio APA and continues the feel of the recently-opened Milan boutique, below. The palette has been Vegas-ized with bright pinks, clean whites and glimmering metallics. Again with those floors!

Wow, Stella McCartney, now I have an excuse to get to Vegas soon. p.s. my name is Raina...there are not that many of us around. Sucked when I was a teenager and I could never buy a little sign saying "Raina's Room".

raining sheep - Hello to you fellow Raina and welcome! I feel your pain about the personalization. Never ever any keyrings or coffee mugs.

I've only met one other "Raina" - a Polynesian man living in New Zealand. Seems it a masculine name down that way.

Those floors are a little bit rock & roll and I'm loving'em. I'm pleased for the Vegas economy. Good to read that someone as talented as Stella is investing in a store there. Make a girl glad!

Happy holidays to you Raina ~
