Dear Pier 1

Please give us more of this...

And a whole lot less of this...

And these...

And, sweet Jeebus, this...

My daughter's dollhouse has that exact same white twisty Holly Hobbie style wire seat set in pic 2. I didn't know it came in human size. Like the black cane too.

The bench? With the arch? My childhood dollhouse had that printed on the outside garden wall.... It's true, the 70s are back, and not in a good way...

Is that real? From like the current catalog? You made that up. Tell me you did.

Appletree - That's from a Spring collection sneak peek link I received in my email. So I don't think this merchandise is in stores yet. I ruined your weekend shopping plans, didn't I?

Pier one obviously has a new muse. It's a well timed "collection" to coincide with the release of her new book, "A Shore Thing".

They are so all over the place. Usually I find one or two things that are nice there... but inevitable put them back before buying. Dont know why.

My mother-in-law gave me a gift card to pier 1 for Christmas. So I went a week ago. I still have my gift card, that should tell you a lot.

AND WTF IS THAT LAMP!!!

Isn't it ironic that the big ticket stores like Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn copy us wee little obsessive decorating bloggers. Then the fairly affordable Pier One can't get it right??? Hey PIER ONE give me a call . I can guide you on the right path.

Love that first chair. So agree those items are scary. I bought two wicker chairs four years ago for my front porch and loved them. I was looking for something that looked expensive didn't break the bank. I know they have had some changes there at the top I believe and not sure what's happening with the buyers lately but I suggest writing a letter - I do it all the time. Sometimes I want to say can I be a buyer please because I can pick better stuff than this.

Its been said, but I'll say it again, AMEN!

BTW, if they're a decor store, why do they sell jewelry? That place bothers every time I enter it's doors. And yet I keep going back. Dammit.

Pier One is so hit or miss. Mostly I pass it by, but there are a few things in my home that I picked up on a lark at Pier One and they are among my most favorite decor items!
