The world's ugliest car debuts

Behold the Citroen DS3 by Orla Kiely. Sweet Jesus, has a more hideous car ever been created? At least we can take comfort that only 500 will be produced and distribution will be limited to Europe.

Oh man. I committed a mortal sin and bought two OK pillow cases for my bed during the sales (I couldn't do an entire doona cover).
The car is a crack up though. Seriously, who would buy it and actually drive it? I'm sure OK wouldn't.

Seriously, you need the hideous to make the good seem better. Bring back those rugs!

ps what's with the lamp on the dashboard? It just turns the dial up to double disgusting.

wow, is that a desk lamp in there? wtf?

It has the same problem as many interiors, that pattern will be out of style in no time. Go neutral on all the big pieces in the space and it will stay current longer. I can hear it now - "is sooooo last year."

All I can think of is that it looks like the poor car is wearing a sweater.

I wouldn't wish to see even my worst enemy driving this.

This is dreadful -- and eyesore.
I wouldn't even buy a toy version for my kid.

Oddly, I have to admit that it amuses me.

Like my profile says, easily amused...

Hey, I could buy one of those while I'm living "over there". I could, but I won't.

I just keep thinking.. what is the car thinking?? something along the lines of: please don't look at me, please don't look at me.
Kinda like one of those dreams were you're in high school and realize you're naked in the middle of the cafeteria with everyone pointing and laughing. Poor poor little car.
And just imagine... someone will be paying MONEY for it.

Although I don't think the print finish is particularly flattering on this form, there are a couple mini vans far more ugly to me. __ The Devoted Classicist

If I ever come across that car on the street, I am going to ram it with the Mazda then slap the driver.

The only thing I like about it is the little reading lamp.

I'm a Citroen fan, so it's hard to ruin one for me....but ruin it they did!

I always wonder.....what kind of a personality does the buyer have, they should do a study on the 500 goofy buyers!

At least with that lamp thingy making you read the lastest trash novel while driving - you may just drive into a tree and have a "right off" or "total" as I think you call it! End of car - end of problem .
I do hope they have super airbags!

This is, paint job aside, a fairly typical European car, and not that different-looking from the Fiat 500 coming to these shores within the next year or so. Y'all will just have to get used to the idea.

Not cute. At all.

the good news is that since it is a citroen, most of the time you won't be driving it anywhere as they are notoriously unreliable and not legal in the us of a.
however, we hold the current title for ugliest car ever (agreed upon by almost every car magazine) and that is the Pontiac Astre. It must have been a wild drunken party the day they drew that dog up cause they are beyond ugly over into OMG what the hell were they thinking!!!! thank god pontiac is out of business so they can't wreak any more havoc like this piece of crap. its hard to believe that a company that made the 58 Bonneville, the 65 GTO and the 67 Firebird could produce such a supremely disgusting object but i guess they were on their long downhill slide to obscurity.

security word def - "shina" - what you'll get in Brooklyn if you insult somebody's GTO.

Just awful. I am beginning to wonder if there is a product the woman won't cover in her stem print. Loo paper perhaps???

amyoliver - The thought of tending to my derriere with Orla Kiely pleases me to no end.

I'm sure Ms Kiely is sat on a swivel chair (probably covered in Stem print) stroking a white cat in a James Bond villian's secret hideaway hell bent on world domination!
