Indeed, the work in New Orleans is remarkable---but I have trouble forgiving him for a rather unnecessary and arrogant remodel of the old March/Burden estate, which didn't need remodeling. Off to read the post.

Very interesting article, Raina. It brings up the question why the former residents apparently have not been asked what THEY wanted. The problem is re-curring: there is someone who wants to help and takes initiative, has all the means to do it which I find admirable but then it simply lacks the final cut. It is a matter of pride and dignity that has been taken away from these residents or not considered in a sufficient way if at all. This was everything that was left to the people in many cases. Not to mention that these houses hardly fit designwise into this region but are rather expected to be found in the Caribbean.
