Me at the Jason Wu show this afternoon with Iris Apfel.

I was in the car when the tweet popped up on my phone. I said out loud, "That could be the pants-peeing moment of the entire trip." Amazing.

OK...I don't know who Iris Apfel is (dumb, me), but I have a serious case of the jealies over your Jason Wu show slot.

Nice! You are gonna have to get some of those shades. I think she would be pleased to have you carry on the look.

Look at you broads. Personality and panache personified!
Maybe you could suggest a sort of adoptive Auntie Mame set up. You know, she invites you over to her amazing pad, you gals gab in her walk-in closet...that sort of deal.
Though at this stage in life, you're certainly no ingenue, so maybe you in turn could teach her a thing or two...too ;P
Carry-on grandly. And btw, I adore that you had the cojones to wear color in NYC, not to mention that your loverly ensemble is a perfect match to your complexion. Love that Iris' hair is an ever-so-slight shade of lilac ;)
Rock on babe, Alcira

A few years ago we had a delightful exhibit at the Norton Museum of Art here in West Palm Beach. This is how I became acquainted with the mahhhvelous Ms. Apfel. Here's a link to that show. http://www.norton.org/Exhibitions/Archive/IrisApfel/tabid/269/Default.aspx
