It takes balls to paint a ceiling black. It looks slick.

Fab indeed...now please explain how the windows aren't slashing those curtain panels.

cosy and grand, modern and traditional - added plus: chairs with built in cushions - I like it

I love painted ceilings. Great drama! I am actually suggesting this (in a more subtle shade of gray) for a client with 14 foot ceilings in the family room.

glossy. I love.

Love, love, love. For this to work the room has to have great bones (i.e., curved ceiling and all that molding, not to mention the windows). Not food needed, just give me a glass of red wine. Sigh. M.

I can really see how they say to do high gloss on a wall/ceiling, there must be little imperfection in the surface.

Yes! The black is dramatic, but I've mentioned the glossy ceilings before, SO GOOD!

Hmmm - looks very elegant. The ceiling - is it really black? From my monitor it is difficult to say and the purple reflections from the chairs does not really help to recognize these colours. But if it is I would say fabulous! And those antique carved chairs - you know I have a faible for these...

Oh, just love it. I saw some stuff you add to semigloss or gloss paint that diminishes roller marks, lines, and streaking. Wish I'd known about it before I painted my ceiling...
