A sneak peek of a West Elm summer

My ever reliable little West Elm birdie sent me photos of the new summer collection, and it is DELICIOUS.  The exaggerated cane is very Patricia Urquiola, and the crisp blues and whites feel so fresh after a brutal winter.  Summer is on its way, Dumplings...

Montauk sectional, $499-$899.  Dexter coffee table, $299.

Porcelain and terra cotta hurricanes, $19-$49.

Montauk nest chair, $499.

Summer blues and whites.

 David Stark dinnerware, $24-$40.

Bright yellows, strong patterns.

Oh WOW. Those nest chairs are great. Damn you Raina, for influencing my style. 2 years ago, I would have said, good but not me.

As I still cannot commit to outdoor furniture that costs under 5K, it still may be a dream. Did you, or maybe it was MidMal, who first showed the RH Klismos stuff? Love it, but cannot afford it.

My deck is in need of a serious makeover. I don't spend enough time at home to justify spending that sort of cash. Where are the intermediate price points? Ok, make that just cheap. I have a 12x14 deck. I cannot spend 2 grand on 4 chairs that I will sit on a few months out of the year.

Ugghh. It's a struggle, and outdoor furniture and I hate each other. I'm all, "you better be pretty, lightweight and moveable. I want to see the lake, you stupid chair."

Stupid wicker chair collapses and laughs under my weight, because he dry rotted in the basement. Pardon the rant, I've been thinking about this a little too much.

Wow. Gorgeous. They have been knocking it out of the park for the past few seasons.

If only I had a garden! Or a lawn! Or anything more than a fire escape!

Hallelujah,

May all things great be praised for the WE that sits less than 3-miles from our crib.
Cheers and best of luck curbing that patio lust, Alcira

summer couldn't come fast enough for this up-north dumpling. I thank God and hubby for making me splurge on heated seats. It is a must in my neck of the woods.

Love! Thanks for sharing your good fortune. All of this beauty is making my porch and patio sad. I will have to cheer them up with some treats from W.E.!

More than any of the others... it is the terracotta lanterns that scream summer to me. Ahh, to be sitting outside on a warm summer night...
