Is this suppose to be an air raid shelter?

Messy?
Looks a bit like a bachelor pad, a bachelor that is striving to look neat but not quite getting there.

*** Um, yeah, welllll, ok... "whatever floats their boat", I guess... BUTTTT, at the risk of sounding rather "negative", it's obviously not "publication worthy", to put it mildly!

Best,

not just the plane (which I like - but in a bar), but the boards again the wall, the dark stuff on the shelves, the manikin thing, all the stuff on the mantel, may they haven't finished moving in yet- but the seating looks nice and comfy!

again with the British flag pillows?

Move the plane to the boys' room; move the dress form to the craft room; move those weathered boards to the barn; move the two floor lamps anywhere else. Then, celebrate a job well done with a nap on one of the comfy sofas.

Vaguely menacing for the person sitting directly below on the couch, but overall I'm fine with it.

Definite bachelor pad. I bet it would look amazing if it was softly lit at night, and you just stumbled back from the bar with the rich british dude you just picked up... with those large deep bangable sofas, and antique lighting and monochromatic color palette... then the next morning, you get a real life moral hangover, the realization of bad dentistry and the reality of a large airplane in his living room.

Horrible flashbacks to WW1.

I like it except for the plane and the dressform. Those items look a bit too contrived. The mantle could use some styling. I love the old wood, but would rather see it used as shelving or an art piece on the wall. The built ins need to be better balanced between light and dark. One side should be all light and one side should be all dark. Hate the lamp on the right. Love the raw nature of the walls, but want to put a beefer mantle over the fireplace, perhaps with the wood? Love the couches, but the pillows are hackney'd.

Boring with potential. Definitely not rising to the occasion. The plane and the dress form need to vamoose.

It looks pretty comfy, cozy and personal to me. I'm over Union Jack pillows, but since those don't look like they came to from Restoration Hardware, I'll let them slide. The dressmaker's form works in the space but it looks like the photog moved it into the foreground to give the image some depth, when instead it pulls focus. Way to manly for me, but I give it a pass.

This looks like a boy's clubhouse. However, I've had an airplane (a bit smaller than this one) hanging in my study/library for years -- so, who am I to judge? :-)

What's up with the segregation on the bookshelves? Beige to the left, black to the right. Are those monkey heads on the bottom shelf?
