Let's hear it for the blogs!

Alcira of The Nero Chronicles knows what we need on a Monday - inspiring interiors porn!  Hot pink and tomato red are the new cocoa and aquamarine.

Lighting designer Bec Brittain chats with David John at YHBHS.  David has forgotten more about interior design and art history than I'll ever know (and I have degrees in both).

Drollgirl pays homage to afro magnificence.  Her photos challenge traditional notions of "good" hair.

I want to be buried in this.  Julie Chapman features some wonderfully over-the-top pieces over at her Chapman Interiors blog.

My good friend and new design client Leigh Pennebaker of Marvelous Kiddo shares a New York Times article featuring her husband Taro's theater company.  Last week's benefit gala for Our Time, a theater and summer camp program for children who stutter, honored Oscar-winning screenwriter David Seidler for his work on "The King's Speech."

Thanks so much for the shout-out Boo...you are as usual, a credit to the lost art of being cool.
May the rest of the week treat you well.
Cheers, Alcira

Wonderful highlight reel! And I would never think a hot pink and tomato red room with a giant black fireplace could be at all appealing, but that room looks so comfortable. It makes me want to curl up on those couches and take a long nap.
