I am showing this to my brother-in-law and saying "Ha, in your face!" He purchased his ENTIRE house at CB2.

Making things on shelves look good really is a talent.

(And your new profile picture, so nice!)

If only the wrongness of this seemed obvious to the majority of people, what a pretty world it would be.

I saw this on DTI and wondered 'what the ..' so I am glad I found this on here tonight. Phew, I'm not the only one who thought 'weird' (-:

If the photog had turned the camera slighty to the right, he would have caught the cabinet tv with rabbit ears accessorized with the owner's Lladro collection.

Some people do not deserve shelves.

there is so much good going on in that room..it's shame that that huge wall looks like an anthro store after a big sale.

where are the books for the bookshelves? no pictures?

love the wall mirrors, love the colors..

raina, you rock... thank you for saying this.....

The shelves and their contents make this obnoxious. I like the colors, but the gray is too much on the walls. ;)
Ciao!

I think they did very well with everything in their home, the furniture, the lighting, the artwork, the color scheme except for the grouping of objects in the shelves. That's why there are interior decorators! :)

Fabiana and Pia - Hello to both of you and welcome to this deliciousness!

there are so many things i like about that space--love the colors, the dining area. those shelves ruin it for me. they look like the day after a 75% off sale at anthro.

get some books!

This is whole room is a matchy-matchy horror. Really, who wants to live in a bad shop display?
