Holy Guacamole - Missoni for Target!

Missoni's "Emme" outdoor collection via stylehive.
(Update: These are current items from the regular Missoni line,
not the actual Target collection)

After the colossal fail of Target's most recent designer collaboration with Calypso St. Barth, the Big Red Bullseye today announced their biggest partnership to date.  A collection by the zig zag-gy Italian design house Missoni will offer over 400 items, including clothing for women, men and children and housewares.

Creative Director Angela Missoni described the process as "a fantastic experience, [...] one we are eager to share with families across the United States."  She promises "plenty of Missoni’s swirls, zigzags, and near-hallucinogenic florals."

The collection will debut on September 13th, just in time for fall wardrobe fabulousness!

They are building the THIRD largest Target right across the street from me.
I live in a new mixed use subdivision in California called Riverpark.
The Target opens July 24th!
I am stoked...although I am still very pissed that Target closed ALL of thire lawn & garden centers. (They had the best prices on plants)

Wendy - Of course, my Darling! I will be hitting the refresh button on the Target pressroom link about 2000 times a day for the next four months.

Okay, this might be the thing that forces me to give up my pale neutral bedroom for some colorful zigs and zags...

Exciting stuff! Do you think there will be a cushy pouf? (I spied something in your pic)- I need a cool idea for a dog/cat bed

I must be pretty behind the loop these days....I never even saw the Calypso at my Target....is it over already? I feel like a dork.

DeLinda - That's a shot of a current offering from the regular Missoni line. With the promise of over 400 items and the fact that the Calypso pouf was the first sellout, I'd say chances are good we could see a Missoni for Target pouf.

SHERRY HART - The Calypso line just launched Sunday and I think it runs through mid-June. Target always short-ships their introductions to create a buzz and then replenishes stock a couple of weeks in.

What's Missoni doing @ Target? I'm a fan of the classic cheveron style dresses & bathing suits. I'll have to see it in the store before I decide if I like it. Will there be clothes? So far I like the little rug & that's about it.

Gosh, I hope they do beach towels. Mr. Man's not having any part of anything to dry off with by the pool that sets him back 200$. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Yes I heard about this too! I can't wait!!! I heartttttt target. Each time my husband goes with me it's like I"m inviting him over to play at my house..
him: "babe, where is the hair stuff"
me: "go down the hall and it'll be on the right"

I'm cautiously optimistic. I want it to be nice so Missoni can finally be accessible to me, and I'm hoping the elegance of the design doesn't get lost in translation when it's interpreted in lower quality materials (which I understand has to be done).
