Head on over to Curbed National for my take on Nate Berkus' visit
to Oprah's massive Montecito, California estate.

OK, I totally admit I saw a bit of it today while folding laundry. Your take however, made me spit wine across my kitchen island! LOL. Just a question, who titles a weekly series "house proud" anyway? Totally ridiculous. (great post, BTW! ). M.

I've always tried to like Oprah. But my god, between all the spiritual bullshit and foisting Dr. Phil on us, it hasn't been easy.

Wow. Never thought I'd say this, but Oprah sounds like a sad lady. I don't know, the whole thing just feels sad to me...

I don't watch Oprah, so I had missed out on the whole bizarre spirituality thing--until now! Utterly absurd in the most vacuous and amusing way possible. Thanks for the laugh.

The promised land. No longer the land of milk and honey, it is now the land of silk and money.

Egomaniac. But I suppose she might need all that space for her head...oh and her flock!

Promised Land? It sounds pompous. I read the Curbed article so I know why she name it that, but still...also, green wicker?!? what the hell is that??
